DetailsAug 02, 2017· On the GPX 5000 the Fine Gold setting is a bit of a dream in many severe ground conditions. Bad ground and rocks just disappear! It works so well in bad ground it is tempting to just leave the machine in Fine Gold all the time. However, Fine Gold is a very aggressive timing (filter) and I promise you without a doubt it will tune out and miss ...

DetailsFeb 11, 2014· Just a quick update, we conducted a series of tests with the GPX 5000 in the "factory default" settings and 11-inch DD vs. the Garrett ATX. We cranked the ATX up to max sensitivity, and the GPX still got better results, but not huge. That being said, once we went out of default settings on the GPX and started using different timings, increasing ...
DetailsSep 08, 2015· I am thinking about buying a new 4500 and am wondering how much differences there are from the 5000, the price on the 4500 is hard to beat as I can't afford the 5000 yet. I have a 3500 that I just listed on C.L. for $1500 so I can offset some of the cost. Gave boss 2 weeks notice today and I will be out there full time by the end of Sept. YEAH!!

DetailsJan 24, 2021· 4. Detector Mods 2020 GPX 5000 upgrade: Lifts targets out of the mud (not literally) sharper targets. More sensitive on smaller targets - found smaller bits of trash than before at all depths, noticeable edge on larger deep targets - BUT what I did not like was that you sort of have to UNLEARN and RELEARN your machine.
DetailsJan 23, 2012· 23 Jan 2012. When the GPX 5000 metal detector was released, some existing GPX-4500 users questioned whether it was just a GPX-4500 with a new Timing for very small gold, and a make-over in the colour department. DetailsFeb 03, 2022· Posted February 10. The smallest coil for the early GPX was the 6x4 PMC Magpie and no-one that has one will ever part with it. I think less than 10 were built before the company went belly up. But the NF Sadie is the best bet although the 6" Coiltek is also terrific. The Coiltek 9" Elite is the coil I use 90% of the time and has found me over ...

DetailsDec 16, 2015· Hello Usefy_eng, The Minelab GPX 5000 can find large objects at great depths. I can't recall my deepest target, being iron rubbish, but it was probably pushing the 3 foot mark. I found that the Sharp timing was one of the better timings for pure depth as long as the ground mineralization would allow the timing to work smoothly.
